You need quite a lot of equipment to make it as easy as possible for you and for you dog.
The old way was to let the dog pull the pulka like this:
Then you ski BEHIND the pulka.
But I've found some problems there.
It is not easy to control the dog and pulka going downhill.
The stress of heavy load comes high up to the dog's back
and you can't really help him.
So it is better to pull the pulka yourself and let the dog pull you.
For that you need harness like this:

When you can do this walking, it's maybe time to try it skiing.
We use Sporten Forrester Skis with X-Trace binding.
Your dog only needs a normal husky-harness and an elastic pulling rope:
The longer the rope is, the lower the pulling point is for the dog.
Finally you just connect the dog to your harness and there you go:
